Monkey David & Mom bought a surprise gift for Great Grandma

It was a sunny afternoon when Mom whispered to Monkey David, “Let’s do something special today.” David tilted his head with curiosity, his little eyes sparkling. “We’re going to buy a surprise gift for Great Grandma!”

David clapped his tiny hands with excitement. He adored Great Grandma — she always shared her fruit, told gentle stories, and rocked him to sleep with the softest lullabies. He couldn’t wait to surprise her.

Hand in hand, Mom and David strolled through the marketplace. David pointed at everything — shiny bracelets, soft scarves, and colorful fruit baskets. But then he saw it: a beautiful wooden hair comb, hand-carved with tiny flowers. “That one!” he squeaked, tugging at Mom’s sleeve.

Mom smiled. “Perfect choice. Great Grandma will love it.”

They wrapped the comb in soft cloth, tied it with a pink ribbon, and placed it in a little gift box. David carried it carefully all the way home, holding it close like treasure.

When they arrived at Great Grandma’s house, David hid behind Mom’s leg, holding the gift tightly. “Go on,” Mom encouraged. “Give it to her.”

David stepped forward shyly and held out the box. Great Grandma, surprised and touched, opened it slowly. When she saw the comb, her eyes filled with happy tears.

“Oh my sweet boy,” she said, hugging David gently. “It’s beautiful… just like you.”

David beamed with pride, snuggling into her arms. That moment — simple, loving, and full of meaning — became a memory no one would forget.
