It was a bright morning on March 8th—International Women’s Day. The sun was shining, birds were singing, and little Lala the monkey was already jumping around with excitement, not knowing that today would be extra special.
Mom was in the kitchen preparing breakfast, humming a soft tune, when Dad quietly stepped in with a big smile and a hidden surprise. “Girls, can I have your attention?” he called.
Lala peeked from around the corner, and Mom looked up with curiosity. Then—ta-da!—Dad revealed a beautifully wrapped basket filled with fresh flowers, fruits, and a little note that read:
“To the strongest, kindest, most wonderful girls in my life — Happy Women’s Day!”
Lala gasped. “For us?!” she squeaked, running up to the basket and sniffing the flowers. Mom stood still, a little shocked, her eyes already getting misty.
Inside the basket were Lala’s favorite mini bananas and a small, handmade bracelet just her size. For Mom, there was a lovely scarf and her favorite herbal tea blend. The thoughtful gifts weren’t fancy—but they were perfect.
Mom knelt down and hugged Lala tightly, tears of joy in her eyes. “It’s not the gift,” she whispered, “It’s the love behind it.”
They spent the rest of the day feeling celebrated, appreciated, and full of love. Lala proudly wore her bracelet all day, while Mom glowed with gratitude.
Dad smiled as he watched them, knowing he had made their day a little brighter. Sometimes, the simplest surprises create the most unforgettable memories.
